Toilet VS Dental floss
Most of us simply hate dentists because we are scared of the pain we might feel when our teeth are not healthy and our dentist needs to fix them.
Some people would rather feel pain in any other part of their body than in their teeth, so that’s why a lot of them do not visit their dentist very often.
And we have to be honest about it, because probably some of you are not quite sincere with your dentist when it comes to your oral hygiene.
What we found out recently is that some Americans literally hate to go to their dentist and hate flossing their teeth, and they would rather clean the toilet than do their oral hygiene.
Yes, you read it well. According to a latest survey from the American Academy of Periodontology around twenty-seven percent of American people (who are adults of course) lie to their dentists when it comes to their oral hygiene and floss.
What is even more surprising is that some of them would rather do different things, such as washing dishes or cleaning the toilet or any other similar activity than doing something that is as “unpleasant” as flossing.
We understand that some of you don’t floss as often as you should, but it is pretty worrying that twenty percent of people from the United States have never flossed during their lifetime.
Of course this doesn’t mean that every American is this irresponsible but still we have to pay attention to our oral hygiene, because it is necessary for our health.
